For young dancers to join the Junior Company
Audition dates: 8-9 September 2018
Who can join the auditions
The Balletto di Roma, to support and develop its productive and training mission, is holding auditions for young adult dancers (under 18), to join in the staff of its Junior Company starting from the next academic year 2018/19.
Students will be admitted to the auditions only after passing a first selection step that takes form of a short video and study curriculum, that has to be send in advance for evaluation. The auditions will be held at the headquarters of the Balletto di Roma on 8-9 September.
According to the judgment of the examining commission, scholarships will be awarded for the most deserving young dancers.
The common objective of the Dance School Balletto di Roma (with Paola Jorio as Artistic Director) and of the Dance Company Balletto di Roma (with Francesca Magnini as Artistic Director) is to provide a unique educational experience to young dance professionals.
Daily didactic programs, running parallel to the activities carried out by the Dance Company Balletto di Roma, will create a virtuous path able to prepare young students for the profession of dancers, both for the Dance Company Balletto di Roma and for the numerous companies present today in Europe and in the world, always observant to the young Italian dance.
Artistic directors, maitre de ballet, assistant to choreography and choreographers of the Balletto di Roma will create a program of study able of staging both new original creations and important choreographic works taken from the repertoire of the Balletto di Roma.
Daily didactic programs, running parallel to the activities carried out by the Dance Company Balletto di Roma, will create a virtuous path able to prepare young students for the profession of dancers, both for the Dance Company Balletto di Roma and for the numerous companies present today in Europe and in the world, always observant to the young Italian dance.

This study programme will last 800 hours and will take place between November 2018 and June 2019.
